Part-Time Church Administrator

The Evanston Church of God is now hiring a Part-Time Church Administrator

Job Listing and Description

PURPOSE
The Church Administrator will provide administrative and operational support to the Lead Pastor and the church.  S/He will work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor, Leadership Team, and appropriate Lay Leaders in order to support the vision and programs of the ministry.

HOURS: 20 hours per week

SALARY:  Competitive, commensurate with experience

REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor

 

COMPETENCIES
Interpersonal Skills: Relates well to all kinds of people, builds effective relationships. Serves with enthusiasm.

 

Administrative Skills: A high level of administrative capacity; a self-starter with the ability to prioritize requests, multi-task, manage multiple projects, and direct workflow.  Mastery of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and proven ability to learn new programs and software.

 

Database Experience: Experience using and managing database systems.  Experience with CDM+ software is an asset.

 

Highly Collaborative: Shows a willingness to collaborate and to develop partnerships.

 

Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

PREREQUISITES
High functioning, personable, and with a non-anxious work style.

​

2+ years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record.  Experience within a church or non-profit organization is an asset.

 

Desire to work in a progressive church environment and alignment with the Evanston Church of God’s Christian ethics and doctrine.

 

High School diploma or equivalent. College-level education or higher is an advantage.
